Send a parcel with someone already going there.
Describe the parcel and the route, and travellers heading the same way can offer to carry it. You choose who takes it, you pay only once you have accepted, and the delivery closes with a one-time code your recipient gives the traveller.
Searching is open to everyone. You will need an account and a completed ID check before you can post a delivery request.

Before you hand anything over
- You know who is carrying itNobody can offer to carry a parcel without passing an ID check by an identity verification service, and you pass the same check before you can post a request.
- You pick the travellerProposals come to you. You read the profile and the trip, then accept or decline — nothing is assigned to you either.
- Contacts open only after paymentThe traveller sees your recipient's details and the full delivery address once payment is confirmed, and not before.
- The recipient closes the deliveryA one-time code goes to your recipient. The traveller can only complete the order by entering the code they are given at handover.
From your parcel to a confirmed delivery
How sending works
- 1
Post the request
Give the route, the parcel details, the recipient and the price you are offering to pay for the delivery.
- 2
Collect proposals
Travellers heading that way propose to carry it. Nothing moves until you decide.
- 3
Accept the one you want
Review who is offering and accept a single proposal, or decline and wait for another.
- 4
Pay by card
Payment runs through Stripe. Selfpost never sees or stores your card details, and the order only proceeds once it is confirmed.
- 5
Hand the parcel over
With payment confirmed, both sides have what they need to arrange the pickup.
- 6
Your recipient confirms
They give the traveller the one-time code once the parcel is in their hands. Entering it completes the order.
You stay in control
You decide who carries it, and when you pay.
Posting a request commits you to nothing. Every step after it needs your decision, and the checks that protect the traveller protect you in the same way.
Both sides pass the same ID check
Verification by an identity verification service is required before an account can post a delivery request, offer to carry one, or pay. It is not a badge some users have and others do not — without it there is no deal to join. Stripe processes the documents; Selfpost does not store them.
No proposal is binding
You can decline anything and keep waiting. A request stays open until you accept someone.
You pay after you choose
Payment comes after you have accepted a specific traveller, never before, and the order will not move to handover without it.
One order, one record
The request, the proposal, the payment and the delivery confirmation all stay attached to the same order, so both sides are looking at the same history.
Your responsibility
What you have to get right.
Selfpost provides the request, the payment and the delivery confirmation. It is not the transport carrier, and what you put in the parcel is your responsibility to the person carrying it.
- Only lawful items, permitted at every point on the route. Never ask a traveller to carry something you have not described accurately.
- The traveller has to satisfy airline or transport-provider rules, so size, weight and contents have to be workable for hand luggage.
- Customs requirements at the origin and the destination apply to the parcel, and the person carrying it will be the one answering for it.
